About Me

I’ve been exploring the natural world since childhood. Growing up in a small town on Georgian Bay in southern Ontario, I was surrounded by wild places that sparked my curiosity and passion for nature. That passion led me to study environmental science in university and pursue a professional career in environmental management.Today, I live along the Grand River in southern Ontario with my wife - also an environmental scientist - and our two daughters. My photography has been published in magazines and books, recognized in photo contests, used in environmental education, and featured in charity auctions. One especially memorable moment was when an interior designer selected my work for the home of an NHL superstar - a thrilling experience for a small-town Canadian kid like me.I’m a core member of Canadian Conservation, a collective of photographers who donate their art to raise funds for wildlife and wild spaces. Together, we’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars for conservation charities across Canada. In 2025, I joined the photography team of the Canadian Conservation Photographer’s Collective - a new chapter I’m excited to explore.Through my photography, I hope to share my appreciation for the natural world and inspire others to feel the same.
